The National Weather Service has placed all of Rhode Island except Block Island in a Winter Weather Advisory for Friday. Mixed precipitation is expected to cause slippery road conditions.
According to the Weather Service- freezing rain and sleet is expected before 10AM--a changeover to sleet up until 5PM before a changeover again to snow and sleet after 5PM. About an inch of snow is possible across the state- but also an inch of sleet and a tenth of an inch of ice possible throughout the day.
Extreme caution on the roads all day Friday is suggested.
