The 2022 NCAA men's basketball tournament gets underway this week with five local teams making up the field of 68.
The Bryant Bulldogs will be looking to clinch a spot in the first round as a 16 seed in the South region.
Bryant is taking on Wright St. in the first four with the chance to face the Arizona Wildcats. If Bryant won the play in game they would become the number 16 seed.
The highest local seed is Providence College. The Friars are the four seed in the Midwest region and are taking on South Dakota St. in the first round.
In the East region, the Yale Bulldogs are the 14th seed and will face Purdue in the first round.
In the West region, 13th seeded Vermont is taking on Arkansas and fifth seeded UConn is going head-to-head with New Mexico St. in the first round.
