Carman Defense Team Gets More Time To Prepare

Nathan Carman, the former Connecticut resident, will have extra time to prepare for a detention hearing.

The man prosecutors say killed his grandfather in Connecticut and his mother on the high seas off the Rhode Island coast was scheduled to have the bail hearing on Monday.

A federal judge in Vermont has given Carman's attorneys three days to prepare an argument that he should be released on bail while awaiting trial.
