RI Expectant Moms Can Apply For Health Insurance At Any Time Under New Bill

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee has signed a new law that allows pregnant women to enroll in a special health insurance window.

The law applies to all policies on or after January 1st, 2023.

Expecting mothers will be able to enroll in health insurance at any time during their pregnancy.

According to a State House statement, Rhode Island joins Vermont, New York and California in providing such coverage.
