Judge Caprio To Retire From Providence Bench

Longtime Providence Municipal Court Judge Frank Caprio is retiring.

Questions about appropriate use of public resources have arisen about Caprio's syndicated TV show "Caught in Providence".

Caprio, who has denied making any money from the show, also faced an uncertain path forward, needing votes from the Providence City Council to be reappointed.

Council president Rachel Miller in a statement accepted Caprio's retirement decision, quote, "after nearly 40 exemplary years on the bench."
