Get ready for a deep plunge into winter temperatures this upcoming weekend.
The National Weather Service forecast for the Providence area is calling for lows in the teens through Thursday night.
Then on Friday evening, temperatures are expected to dip below zero.
Saturday's high temp is only around 15 degrees.
The weather service is keeping an eye on potentially dangerous wind chills.
Conditions will rebound to above-freezing on Sunday.
