Schools Closed- But Classes For Some Anyway As Cleanup Begins

The Providence area is getting a big snowstorm at the end of the 2022/2023 meteorological winter.

Plowable snow began falling last night and is continuing this morning.

The people in the weather center say about seven more inches could be fall by the time the storm pass today in Providence, Kent and Washington counties, which remain under a Winter Storm Warning.

School is canceled on Tuesday for the Providence Public School District and other districts around Rhode Island.

However, it's not a complete snow day for all students, as classes are being held virtually.

The districts doing so include: Bristol-Warren, Central Falls, Coventry, Cranston, East Providence, Lincoln, Little Compton, Middletown, North Providence, Smithfield, Warwick, and West Warwick.
