Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt collapsed at a public event on Thursday.
Baldelli-Hunt was attending a press conference at City Hall sponsored by New England Donor Services to commemorate National Organ Donation Month when she apparently fainted at around 10:30 a.m.
The mayor was taken to Landmark Medical Center, and her condition has stabilized.
It is not clear when the Mayor will return to the office.
