15 And Counting To Succeed Congressman Cicilline

It's now 15 Democrats running to replace Congressman David Cicilline.

Former U.S. Naval War College professor Walter Berbrick entered the race for the 1st District on Friday.

Berbrick is 38 and from Middletown. He says that the partisan politics of Washington is making it more and more difficult for the average person to live their lives.

He tells the Providence Journal that the country is deeply divided and it is something that is making it difficult for anything to get done.

Cicilline is expected to step down from his House seat next month to become the president of the Rhode Island Foundation. The primary would take place on September 5th.
