The investigation is continuing in Smithfield today after a car crashed into the Subway at the Apple Valley Mall, killing one person and sending five others to the hospital.
The Smithfield Deputy Fire Chief Steve Quattrini telling reporters that one person was declared dead at the scene.
It appears that both customers and employees were hurt in the crash.
Officials have not said anything about the conditions of those were hospitalized.
