Rhode Island's May unemployment rate of three percent was the second highest in New England.

Connecticut had the region's highest jobless rate at three-point-seven percent, the same as the national number.

The region's lowest unemployment rate was New Hampshire at one-point-nine percent.

Massachusetts jobless rate is two point eight percent.
