RISPCA Urges People Not To Abandon Pets

The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is asking the public to stop abandoning pets at their shelter.

According to the RISPCA, this has been happening recently at the East Providence facility, and it's extremely dangerous for the animals.

Pet owners who want to properly part ways are being urged to make an appointment.

This comes as the nonprofit rescued nearly a dozen dogs on Tuesday from a home in Pawtucket after neighbors complained about the condition that the dogs were living in.

In that case - the dogs are being checked out and there is no word as to whether the pet owner will face charges.
