State Closes Eight Beaches For High Bacteria Levels

It is not entirely unexpected. The Rhode Island Health Department is closing eight beaches across the state for high levels of bacteria found in the water. Those beaches include:

Scarborough North, Narragansett

Goddard Park Beach, East Greenwich

Camp Watchaug, Charlestown

Sandy Point Beach, Portsmouth

Kingston’s Camp, South Kingstown

Camp Hoffman, South Kingstown

Oakland Beach, Warwick

Warren Town Beach, Warren

In addition, City Park and Conimicut beaches, they are both in Warwick, are being reopened as sample levels have returned to normal.
