Rain Heads Out- But Cleanup In Parts Of State Just Underway

It looks like most of the rain has moved out of here but there is still a fair amount of cleanup that needs to be done.

Cranston hit hard. Officials having to close down Reservoir Avenue near Park as some drivers were trying to drive through large ponds of water on the road to no avail.

East Providence and Providence were also hard hit.

Meantime the Providence Mayor Brett Smiley says the city will spend one point five million dollars to fix the Fox Point Hurricane Barrier.

The project will take about six weeks and begin July 24. The Mayor saws the project is essential to keeping the city safe and free from flooding.
