UPS Strike: Just Practicing For Now As Deadline Looms

Warwick UPS drivers are practicing picketing ahead of strike.

Officials say the group is apart of the estimated 340 thousand UPS employees who could go on strike when their contact expires on July 31st.

The Teamsters Union organized the practice picket as they continue to fight for both full and part-time workers.

The union said they're requesting better pay, resolution to safety and health concerns, and protection against managerial harassment.

The last time UPS workers went on strike was in 1997 and it shut down operations for two weeks.

UPS Centers throughout New England have been holding similar practice events over the last several days.
