A prime suspect is being named in the fatal shooting of a teen in Providence.
Darnell Whitford, a former player on the West Warwick Steelers youth football team, was shot to death on Dexter Street last Friday night.
The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office says the suspect in Whitford's murder is Samuel Medina, whose residence is unknown but he spends time in Providence and Warwick.
Authorities say Medina remains at large, and is presumed to be armed.
