Christmas Tree Shops is announcing its "last day of business" before all stores are closed.
The website for the Middleboro-based retail chain indicates that date is August 12th.
Several stores have already closed, including multiple on Cape Cod where the chain got its start 50 years ago but has since fallen into bankruptcy.
The latest from the company website shows that there is only one remaining store in Rhode Island that is open and that is in Middletown.
The iconic C-T-S location with a thatched roof and windmill off Route 6 near the Sagamore Bridge is turning into a Halloween decoration store.
There has been no re-use plan announced for any of the Rhode Island Stores.
