Commerce Secretary Defends Actions Over Hacks

U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo is fighting off criticism that she wasn't tough enough on China after her email was hacked.

Speaking on CNN's State of the Union, Raimondo said she confronted Chinese government officials about the hack during her recent trip to Beijing.

She said she told Chinese officials the hack erodes trust and that the U.S. knows what China's trying to do.

Raimondo added that China responded by claiming they didn't know about the hack and suggesting it was not intentional.
