Summer Not Over By Any Stretch

The National Weather Service says northern and central Rhode Island will experience summer heat and humidity this week.

Heat index values are predicted to reach the upper 80s to 90 degrees.

The weather service says Providence had zero days of 90-degree-plus temperatures over the summer months, but that could change on Thursday, when the predicted high is 93.
