Providence Wants To Be "Climate Jobs City"

The Providence City Council unanimously adopted a resolution on Thursday to become the first "climate jobs city" in the United States.

The city council says it is committed to enacting bold climate policy goals which promote workforce development, including making investments in carbon-neutral infrastructure.

The council also wants to incorporate environmental education into the Providence School District.
