The Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families is disclosing the death of a child.
The three-year-old reportedly died on August 28th.
The location was not made public.
An investigation determined that maltreatment was a contributing factor in the death.
The DCYF was previously involved with the child's family. The Office of the Child Advocate has been notified.
