Three State Share Costs, Use Of Wind Energy In New Deal

The states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut entered into a new agreement on wind energy Wednesday.

Governor Dan McKee's office says the states will seek offshore wind proposals that would expand benefits for the region.

They are aiming for a combined total of six-thousand megawatts.

McKee says offshore wind is an important resource for Rhode Island to meet its renewable energy goals.
