A Providence non-profit's annual food drive is underway.
Higher Ground International serves low-income and marginalized residents in Rhode Island, particularly those of Liberian and West African descent.
On Thursday, fresh foods were being distributed.
The annual drive began in 2020 and has provided over one million bags of food to families in the state.
