The operators of the port of Providence have entered into a partnership with a Seattle-based container shipping firm.
Waterson Terminal Services, LLC operates the port, now known as ProvPort - the agreement with SSA Marine, Inc. will invest in port facilities to create continued growth.
The specialties will be in terminal management and services for bulk, automotive, and offshore wind customers in New England.
The agreement is set to close in December; terms were not disclosed.
