Cranston Mayor Wants Infrastructure Audit

An inspection of Cranston's infrastructure is being undertaken.

Mayor Ken Hopkins says the city has hired Pare Corporation to inspect key bridges and culverts to ensure they are safe, and to offer recommendations for repair and rehabilitation. Hopkins noted a full evaluation has not been made in decades, but that there is no immediate concern at this time.

The cost of the inspections will come to a little over $150 thousand dollars and come out of the city's capital budget.

A repair plan will be put in place once the assessments are completed.
