The Big Dig Out Continues Across The State

The latest winter storm to pass through Rhode Island and Southern New England is expected to move quickly but will make its impact.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through 1 am Wednesday.

The Providence area and suburbs, along with Block Island are expected to receive four to seven inches of snow.

Warwick, Westerly, and more southern parts of the state could receive five to ten inches, and a Wind Advisory is in effect until 7 pm this evening. Wind gusts are expected to reach 50 miles per hour.

State Police report that they are still enforcing a tractor trailer ban in the state until further notice.

And, in Providence, Mayor Brett Smiley says that the city is in good shape considering what it has been through. He is crediting the parking ban that went into place early on that has created an easier push of snow throughout the city.
