Rhode Island College has a new president.
Jack Warner was appointed head of the college Wednesday, through a unanimous vote by the Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education.
A former commissioner of the state Office of Higher Education, Warner had served as interim president since his predecessor, Frank Sanchez left at the end of the 2022 term.
