A man charged in a stabbing in East Providence last week made his first court appearance Monday.
Valdini Correia of North Providence is accused of entering an apartment on Crescent Avenue uninvited Friday and stabbing the victim several times in the face.
Prosecutors claim 25-year-old Correia attacked the victim because he believed the man was dating his former girlfriend.
Correia is charged with domestic burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and disorderly conduct, among other charges.
He is being held without bail.
