Police Seek Identity Of Body Found In River

Authorities are investigating a body found in the Providence River Thursday evening.

East Providence police said a passerby traveling on the East Bay Bike Path near Kettle Point Avenue discovered the man's body at around 7:15 pm.

The individual was found in several feet of water. No identification has been made.

The Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy.
