McKee Employee Charged With Driving Through Crime Scene

Police in Dighton, Massachusetts are investigating a fatal traffic accident.

But Police there say at the time of their investigation, they separately witnessed a BMW that drove through the crime scene.

That vehicle, according to police nearly struck a police officer.

Police have identified the driver of that car as Zachary Padula, from Warwick. Governor Dan McKee’s office confirms that he is a staff member in Constituent Services. Padula is charged with:

1: OUI Liquor

2: Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle

3: Failure to Stop/Yield

Padula was released on bail.

The Governor’s office, meantime, is not commenting.

A spokesperson says it is a personnel matter.
